The Oscar 2010 Awards are on their way

Welcome dear readers of moviematics.com to our latest fresh news article about the great event of the Academy Awards that takes place this year on 7 March at the prestigious place Kodak Theatre situated in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Many of you, cinema lovers probably started to wonder about this year’s list of nominees. We have prepared you a special article that includes every category, movie, director, writer and actor that has the chance to brag, to be proud and to be recognized for the tremendous amount of work in cinematographic industry. Their hard work is going to be recompensed with fame, public gratitude and the symbolic golden Oscar.

This 82nd Academy Awards will be presented to you by well known Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. Let’s go and present you the entire list of the Oscar 2010 Nominees.

A short resume on what can be found in this list can be bought to your eyes like this. The highlights of this Oscar edition are the Science Fiction movie, Avatar that broke all records in matter of earnings from the entire history of cinematography and the war drama The Hurt Locker. Both movies have been nominated nine times according to decision of the ones that organize this festivity, members of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Nominations were announced Tuesday, at the Beverly Hills by Anne Hathaway and the president of Academy, Tom Sherak. A new thing that will characterize the 2010 Oscar Awards is that this year there won’t be any traditional musical moments with the nominated music written for motion pictures. The melodies will be presented through a montage with still images from the movies they were included in. Another unique thing that will characterize this year awards is the big number of movies included in the best motion picture of the year, we can find 10 important names (Avatar, The Blind Side, Precious, District 9, An Education,The Hurt Locker, Inglorious Basterds, Up, A Serious Man, Up in the Air) and each of them worthy to be taken into consideration in the chase for an Oscar.

Even if Avatar succeeded to beat all records in cashing, making it to the first place in the top of best sold movies all-time, it hasn’t equaled the remarkable performance of Titanic, which in 1998, succeeded to have 14 nominations and 11Oscar Awards. As the critic Roger Ebert said some time ago, for certain categories nominations were just a simple formality. We will have to see on 7 March if the winners will also be easy to pick, we are sure this won’t be any piece of cake.

At least five comedy actors will participate this year at Oscar Awards. Organizers say that Sacha Baron Coehen, Jason Bateman, Steve Carell, Tina Fey and Ben Stiller will be part of Oscar performers, with Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. It is the first apparition for the Borat star, Baron Cohen as for Jason Bateman, which acts inUp in the Air, nominated for best motion picture.
