Oscar 2010 Results

Update 1: Familiar faces, beautiful people, much good will. Everything is set to to start in a few moments!

Update 2: With the last star to arrive, Cameron Diaz, the 82nd Annual Academy Awards have began!

Update 3: Neil Patrick Harris starts the decernation with a short musical performance.

Update4: Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin come to stage from above, making a special entry to stage. They joke about Merryl Streep, who has 16 nominations to present.

Update 5: Best actor in a supporting role – Oscars 2010. Nominees are:

*Woody Harrleson (The Messenger)
*Christopher Plummer (The Last Station)
*Stanley Tucci (The Lovely Bones)
*Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds)

We have a winner for best actor in supporting role. Have you guessed who it is? Well it is no one else than Christoph Waltz with his impressive role in Quentin Tarantino’s movie, Inglorious Basterds. Well done! Waltz doesn’t forget to thank Tarantino for the great opportunity he was offered.

The winner for best animated feature film of this year is Up! Pete Docter takes the award without forgetting to thank his supporting family.

Winners for best in music written for motion pictures are announced, Crazy Heart with T-Bone Burnett & Ryan Bingham with “The Weary Kind” music they performed excellent and their efforts are repaid.

Mark Boal receives his first Oscar Award for best Original screenplay, what a great moment, really impressive. He succeeded to beat some great names, his main opponent being considered Quentin Tarantino. On the stage he talks about the idea of making The Hurt Locker while he was a reporter and thanks everyone who has helped him build the screenplay.

Rachel McAdams and Jake Gyllenhaal appear on scene and make presentations for Best in Adapted screenplay. The lucky one is Geoffrey Fletcher and his screenplay made for Precious. Very impressed and nervous he doesn’t forget to thank everyone that has put trust in him.

Update 13: Best actress in a supporting role Oscars 2010 nominees:

*Mo’Nique (Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire)

Robin Williams names the winner for the best actress in a supporting role, no one else than Mo’Nique with Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire. Very impressed Mo’Nique thanks the Academy for fact that prizes are indeed awarded for each person performance. Her exact words were “it can be about the performance, not about the politics.” And indeed this is how Academy Awards are given, performance is rewarded.

Sandy Powell hit again an Oscar for the best costume design, this one is her 3rd. We are sure she deserves it, well done. A nice comment coming from her saying that she dedicates the Oscar award for people who work as hard as her but didn’t have the same chance.

Avatar receives another award for best visual effects. A great award taking into consideration it had reputable opponents as District 9 and Star Trek. The 3D special effect certainly did its part.

Both Bob Murawski and Chris Innis received their first Oscar for film editing. Seems that The Hurt Locker put up a good fight against the other favorites.

After so many apparitions in movies, Sandra Bullock receives one of the most important awards, the reward for best actress in a leading role. She is rewarded with an Oscar for which she dreamed all her career. Her role in The Blind Side won’t be forgotten, she acted exceptionally. Cogratulations!

Wordless, The Hurt Locker impressed everybody today, they really put extreme effort into their movie and as we can observe their effort is rewarded accordingly. The Hurt Locker received its 6th Oscar tonight. Very impressive, thank you for making such a movie.
