Michael Gondry’s adaptation that hit screen almost two and a half years back named The Master of Space and Time was not a successful project among spectators. He lately made it official that Gondry is now working on a new project with his son Paul, with a movie that is a futuristic story that packs a rebel and a dictator and will surely be one that will be based on the art and style of Paul.
David Fincher is now set to make his next move by directing an upcoming movie called Pawn Sacrifice. This A-List director is touted to be the captain of this new movie that is based on the story of Bobby Fischer, who is known as the American Chess Icon and the historic match he won against Boris Spassky, which made him won the world championship of Chess.
Sam Worthington gaining popularity though most of which is fake and made-up has sure been earning great fame lately. With his names getting mentioned in almost all upcoming movies belonging to varied genres, be it the action, sci-fi, fantasy, the latest that has made him earn this all of a sudden ‘News maker position’ is he is touted to be the lead in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of a comic book with its central hero called Dan Dare. Worthington of course been considered for the lead role of Dan Dare was a virtual character created by Frank Hampson. With a television series already being made, let’s hope that this one if houses Worthington is worth being watched.
Ben Stiller after learning a great lesson from his last movie, Tropic Thunder is now going nuts full ON in his newest project entitled the Greenberg. The character although may not have bagged him an Oscar, but the overall performance was quite nice and appreciated and well liked by all. The acting turning out pretty well than anticipated him in this one has played the part of a true butthead who has had many deep emotional scars in life and has in his arsenal a list of guilt’s and loads of regrets. Still managing to surface as an engaging character, there is sure a fine line on which Stiller has managed to walk ahead with all.
Hollywood faced a great loss today in the form of Peter Graves, who rose to fame with the character he played in a historical movie Mission Impossible, who recently passed away at the age of 83. A tall, stalwart actor who portrayed the part of Jim Phelps like no one else could have possible done, died from heart attack at his Los Angeles house. With his 84th birthday next week, Graves passing away have been a great shock for not just his family but all the actors at Hollywood.
The box office wrap for the movie Alice in Wonderland has now arrived. A great second weekend is what the movie collections clearly indicate. Although showing a 50% fall from the first week’s collection, but the US audiences while on their trip to Wonderland has again made the movie top the US box office, consecutively in the second week.
The Warner Bros creation that is currently making news Green Lantern has begun shooting in New Orleans today. Although started shooting but the cast of the movie is still being speculated. With two new names now on the list, it has been reported lately that two new actors from New Zealand are being added to the cast, Temuera Morrison being the one more confirmed on this front.

RDJ or Robert Downey Jr. as he is known has rethought about his whole retirement plan. Thinking of hanging up the acting jacket he has worn since years, he is now adding a whole new venture to his already busy bee schedule and pile of lined blockbusters in the form of Gravity, which is a 3D science-fiction movie that is being directed by Alfonso Cuaron.
The Coen Bros are planning to spice up their say on True Grit by adding a little “Pepper” to the whole project. This little will be in the form of Barry Pepper who is touted to join a cast that already is a full-fledged one and packs actors like Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld. The movie embarked to bag an Oscar next year, is the same being said for Bridges who was an Oscar Scooper this year or for the Pepper guy for being in a supportive role. Although supporting, but these players, sure play an inevitable part in the film.
