A man costumed into a fairy, an old Harrison Ford or a supernatural drama don’t seem to be very big threats for the Avatar movie, which is getting prepared to become lieder for the 6^th week consecutively and is heading slowly to break the record Titanic registered.

It already had returns of more than 500 million dollars in United States of America and most probable it will surpass the cashing made by The Dark Knight (533 million dollars). The Tooth Fairy, Extraordinary Measures and Legion are the new entries of this weekend and they really have only thin chances to beat the Avatar movie. Other movies that could threat Avatar’s domination are or The Book of Eli, or The Lovely Bones, latest one having a lesser chance than The Book of Eli.

What is the secret of this movie though?
“It is a pretty simple motive for which this movie resists so long. People adore it.” Said the Fox president, Bruce Snyder.

Avatar: 700 millions of dollars in 12 days

James Cameron’s movie, Avatar continues its very lucrative trajectory on cinematographic market. Thursday, 31 December 2009, the film got returns locally (United States of America) of almost 18 millions of dollars, reaching almost 250.4 millions of dollars from selling tickets to American cinematographs.

With only a week before, the movie collected 16.1 millions of dollars, what this means is that at least this period, Avatar doesn’t give any signs it would leave its leader position at box office. Concerning the record of cashing into a day of Thursday of a movie that had premiere before, first place is taken by The Dark Knight, with an impressive amount of 20.9 millions of dollars.

Avatar movie review

Avatar cold analysis addresses two separate conclusions. On the one hand the purely narrative: Avatar is a rollet proecologista for kindergarten children who, moreover, we tragándonoslo since the time of Dances With Wolves. Nothing new under the sun and do thousands of topics, horrible lines of dialogue and narrative development disastrously predictable. All seasoned with a dreadful final battle.

The technical part is what defines Avatar, however. It is clear that what we all expected it is that Cameron has unveiled a breakthrough in the possibilities of digital cinema project in 3D. Strictly speaking we can say that indeed it has. But even in this field I leave the room with certain complaints.

While in Terminator 2 FX step forward that brought Cameron meant not just a gateway to new technologies, but a real shock in itself, so that screen was already in T2 itself, here I sense Avatar Cameron has opened a door, but has failed to topple him on his own film. This time, a step, which could be improved and surpassed, refined, better employee.
