Kathryn Bigelow will direct Held by the Taliban

Today, according to Production Weekly, she just signed to direct a new movie based on the series of David Rhode’s reporter of The New York Times articles, in which she talked about the 7 months and 10 days she was held captive in Taliban.

Rhodes was kidnapped in the summer of 2008, period in which he wrote a book about the south region of Afganistan. With other two afgan colleagues, he was taken into a tribal region of the Pakistan. Into an ending the three ones succeed to escape, and Rhodes published some articles about his experience there in The New York Times newspaper.

It seems that Bigelow put her hands on a pretty impressive drama, and, after the way in which she took care of The Hurt Locker, she has all chances to bring on big screens another thrilling movie.
